About Fiammetta Vanelli

To conceive marble with a feminine sensitivity, the idea of Fiammetta Vanelli, a woman entrepreneur, with a family history of almost two centuries linked to the extraction of Carrara marble.

Fiammetta Vanelli was born in Carrara, with art and marble in her blood. After studying Literature and Philosophy in Florence and various international experiences, she decided to return to Carrara and to continue the uninterrupted bond that has linked Fiammetta and the Vanelli family to art and marble beauty since 1800. So she founded STATUARIA ARTE in 1996, an artistic “laboratory” of Renaissance style in which to welcome designers called to experiment shapes freely, to mold the material, to explain the marble combining the millenary local craft tradition with technology applied to robotics.

As an educated and visionary entrepreneur, philanthropist and patron, Fiammetta tirelessly organizes art exhibitions, promotes sculpture courses for young international students, collaborates with talents such as Matthew Spender, Marco Borgianni, Alessandro Mendini, Rudy Wach. In 2011 she created ZONA67, from the number of the family quarry in Monte Bettogli, a brand of jewels exclusively made using all the variants of precious Carrara marbles.

Finally in 2017 she inaugurated her very personal company, FIAMMETTAV HOME COLLECTION. Marble is conceived beyond its classical uses, introducing a noble and extraordinary stone into everyday life with the collections: kitchen, bathroom, pets and design. The objects are entirely Made in Carrara, executed with the skill and culture that have made the Apuan district famous throughout the world; masterpieces of craftsmanship carved in the most precious ornamental stone, directly extracted from the family quarries.
